Welcome to Receipt Roast ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the App.

2. App Services

2.1 Features

• Scan and import receipts to track purchases
• Categorize and analyze spending patterns
• Receive AI-powered spending roasts and callouts
• Set budget limits and custom spending rules
• View weekly and monthly spending summaries

2.2 Pricing and Payments

The App is available through subscription options that may include:

• Monthly subscription
• Annual subscription

• Subscriptions may be purchased through the Apple App Store (in-app purchase) or directly via credit card on our website
• All prices are shown in your local currency within the App or at checkout
• Prices may vary by region and are subject to change
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current period
• If you cancel, you will retain access to App features until the end of the current billing period
• There are no long-term contracts; you can change or cancel your plan at any time

2.3 Cancellation and Refunds

• App Store subscriptions: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com
• Direct (credit card) subscriptions: You can manage, cancel, and request refunds through our subscription management page
• For direct subscriptions, refunds are limited to a maximum of 2 per account and apply to the most recent charge
• Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days

2.4 Spending Insights and Roasts

• The App uses AI to analyze your spending data and generate personalized insights
• Roast callouts and budget nudges are for informational and entertainment purposes and do not constitute financial advice
• You can configure notification frequency and categories within the App

3. User Rights and Obligations

3.1 Age and Consent

• The App is intended for users aged 13 and older
• Users under 18 must have parent or guardian consent
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

3.2 Acceptable Use

• You agree not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent transaction data
• You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You agree not to reverse engineer or attempt to extract the App's source code
• You agree not to use the App in any way that could damage or overburden our infrastructure

3.3 Financial Data

• The App is a personal finance tracking tool and does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice
• You are responsible for the accuracy of any data you manually enter
• Receipt Roast is not liable for decisions made based on data displayed in the App

4. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue any part of the service
• Change subscription prices or availability
• Update these terms with reasonable notice

5. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for:

• Inaccuracies in spending categorization or receipt parsing
• Any financial decisions made based on App insights
• Interruptions in service availability
• Data loss resulting from uninstallation or account deletion
• Any losses or damages resulting from your use of the App

6. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
